One Day with the Orangutans
Short on time but still want to meet Borneo’s orangutans? This full-day trip takes you by traditional klotok from Kumai harbour into Tanjung Puting National Park and back the same day.
Itinerary
- 06.30 — Pick-up from your hotel in Pangkalan Bun or meet at Kumai harbour.
- Morning — Cruise the Sekonyer River, spotting proboscis monkeys, macaques, and birds along the banks.
- 09.00 — Arrive at Tanjung Harapan or Pondok Tanggui for the orangutan feeding time.
- Midday — Lunch on board your klotok, prepared fresh by our cook.
- Afternoon — A short jungle walk and a relaxed cruise back to Kumai.
